Connect with others is an action that is pleasant for human beings, as it allows us to generate relationships with other people who share our opinion or point of view on a specific matter. However, we are biased when only conectamos with those who agree with us, which limits the possibility of generating synergies with other positions.

There is a famous story that tells how blind men describe an elephant. The first describes it as a wall, others as a snake, a tree, a fan and finally as a spear. Can you guess why this is? It depends on its location, the first on the side, the others on the trunk, the knee, the ear and the last on a tusk. 

If we simply connect with whoever agrees with us and aim to have different results, we could well remember Einstein's famous phrase that describes insanity as “doing the same thing over and over again hoping to get different results.” 

Think of a soccer team where everyone was only goalkeepers or strikers. What enriches and strengthens us in teams are the different perspectives. 

I invite you today to give yourself permission to know another and also give them permission to know you. This space is generated by you and allows us to open up to new opportunities. Maybe that other person who thinks differently than you has the answers to your questions, is the one who gives you ideas for your project, or you are the one who helps them have a better day. 

May it not happen today that you discover something new that you didn't know about your coworker and better yet, establish a new connection with someone you haven't done so yet. Remember another famous “equation” that says: the size of your relationships is equal to the size of your success.
